Luckily Eno has also worked with other musicians apart from Coldplay. He made the Talking Heads one of the greatest bands of the late 70s/80s and is the only person in the world who is able to make shitty U2 tunes a little bit less shitty. He would have been the perfect producer for TIMTTMY.

Sounds good to me.

Maybe make even shorter songs. Some of the Richey lyrics not chosen for the album are supposed to be almost like fragments so why not take that to its logical conclusion?

I wouldn't want an acoustic album. The Manics are not really good enough song writers to carry that off in my opinion. It wouldn't be playing to their strengths. To me, whenever they have done acoustic songs they have felt as though they were done that way because the band couldn't think of anything else to do with them. Keep the acoustics as b sides.

I know, I love his works with U2 (sic!)

Haha, you're hardcore

I like their experimental works like Achtung Baby and Zooropa. Infact a Zooropa-ish album would be a great follow up to JFPL. Including a stylistic cover of "Numb" with Nicky mumbling the lead vocals, James doing the backing vocals and Sean on drum machine and computer. And, of course: they would have to do the same wicked video!

This was what I was hoping for from PFAYM and they didn't deliver, so now I'm ready for something more My Vitriol-esque.

God, I hate reading my posts from years ago. If only I could go back and tell my 2009 self to not bother wasting the next two years writing the same things over and over and inform him that he's still got This is the Day to get through yet.

Note to my 2013 self: Seriously, are you still fucking here? Unbelievable, man. Haven't you created a bot for automated replies yet?

I remember how pissed off I got with you over your dislike of JFPL when, for me at least, it was the best thing they'd done in years. But 100 therapy sessions later I'm ready to forgive you.

The recent Arctic Monkeys record pisses all over PFAYMand This Is The Day... So lets hope you are right and it will be bloody brilliant! Hah!

Edit: I pul JFPL mistakingly instead of PFAYM before! JFPL is one of the best albums of the century so far. Appologies for my idiocy.
