Anyway, not that it matters - the MP3 in question (begins "Since this is a very special audience on a very special night, we're going to play a song by the Sex Pistols, this is called Bodies", or something like that, if that sparks anyone's memories) was misattributed to the Manics. Who actually performed it I don't know, but I've seen it attributed to Suede. The singer definitely wasn't James and 95%-certain wasn't Nicky (it does sort-of sound like him in shoutymode, but I've never heard Nicky put out anything like as energetic a vocal, before or since, doing backing or lead). If you're still interested though, shall consult my archives and see what I can find, next time I have that system turned on.
There's a version by Velvet Revolver where the singer says something like that before playing the song.

He! He! Me too Lara! Can we share him? I have a spare copy of EMG if anyone in a place where Manics albums are hard to find is desperate for it. I've got the 10th anniversary addition so don't really need my other copy.

Hmm.

I'd really quite love to get my hands on that recent Japanese Lifeblood that came with the bonus disc of FD/LB-era b-sides etc, but unfortunately importing it costs like fuck etc. I don't suppose anyone has a spare one lying around for a fair enough price? :i

The 'Wanted' Thread

Here are the things I'm looking for:

- Gold Against the Soul LP
- The Holy Bible LP
- Forever Delayed LP
- Lipstick Traces LP
- Lifeblood LP

Well aware of the rarity of the last three, but that said, I'm still hoping I can eventually find all these without breaking the bank...

What sort of figure would you be willing to pay for the Lipstick Traces LP?

Generally speaking, I have a better idea what I'm NOT willing to pay than the other way around. I know it's a pricey item, as I've been outbid on it several times on eBay. If you have one for sale, it might be best if you just shoot me a PM with what you'd like for it.

I'm pretty sure this is still available for order through whichever distributor your local record store uses. I had my shop order one for me back in August. Came in about a week and only set me back $27.
