I would've kept it off KYE, and put it on FD instead of Door to the River.

I couldn't find anywhere to even sample it but there's a seller with several copies (probably Nicky) of the PFAYM single CD2 on Ebay, comes to just over £2 and they send quickly.
Just need The Passing Show now! The Manics - one of the only bands who don't have all the modern bsides available digitally. I wanted to give them my money but Townsend don't have them anymore so it had to be Ebay! |

RE: Door to the River
It is boring and awful. Just don't really like it. Sorry guys |

I wouldn't call it awful, but it's certainly not in my top 20 Manics tracks.
Midnight Sun, with that organ, sounds more like TIMTTMY than anything else to my ears. In fact, I'm amazed it's not from that era.

Door to the River is one of my favourite Manics songs ever.

Strongly disliked Door to the River when FD came out but I think it's ok now. Not in my top 100 Manics songs though.

Don't know if I could choose between them. Both fabulous songs!

Do you just have every Manics song in joint 1st place?

No. Tolerate is No 1 and everything else is joint 2nd!

It is inferior to anything on KYE bar maybe Robeson. But Robeson should exist purely because had it not, Gruff Rhys wouldn't have made it a half-decent song a few weeks back. Midnight Sun was left off for a reason, because it was a bit shit. Now they've got used to making shit songs with PFAYM, they've probably lowered their standards a bit.
