You're probably right!! And know what you mean about the older singles, if I hadn't given everything a listen before doing my own chart some might have been very different. Sometimes even the titles, like Yes sounds so innocuous as a title I tend to stupidly gloss over it a bit when thinking of great songs. Plus, talking of titles, the JFPL songs I find notoriously hard to immediately recall because many of the titles aren't mentioned!!

Since I don't know how aware of this people are - and I only stumbled upon it because I thought to look up the old chart on a whim - I figure I may as well mention it here: there's a follow-up top 50 being done (Manics Top 50 is back!!!!!!), entries needed by the end of May. My chart's been posted up just recently - here - and I figure the chart could do with a wide variety of opinions...

Edit: I've been putting down my favourite songs for an hour now. I need to knock nine off to make it a list of fifty songs. They're not even in order yet. I feel sick. This is hard.

The more charts we can get, the more reliable the final big fan chart will be! And your vote could make the difference between your favourite getting in the 50, being number 1 or just gaining that extra place.

Deadline for the top 50s is May 31st with the full fan chart being announced about a week later so would love to hear what your favourites are!

So, the votes are counted and in the wake of last night's Cardiff gig the Manics Top 50 comes hot on the heels counting down on Twitter (@Pyfbrown) from 50 to 26 tonight and 25 to 1 tomorrow (Sunday) night from 8pm both days.

All albums have representation in the final 50 as well as B-sides, last time it was a two horse race for top spot but will any other songs be challenging this time round? Will Faster emerge victorious again or will it be knocked off top spot?
