NICKY YOU'VE HEARD THE PEOPLE. DO IT.
Edit: Why are we only directly appealing to Nicky here? Hahah.

It would not interest me but only 3 songs I'd really like to hear but the thought of ADFL being played again just makes me glad that hopefully it won't take place.

They wouldn't end with ADFL though! That would make a lovely change!

lol true but it being played would make me sick
I think that is what made the PP&F tour the best ever because it was played well early in the set |

I'll be happy just to see the three I've not seen off the album - Removeables, Interiors and Further Away. If they feel like chucking in an.. oh, I don't know... Sepia, Dead Trees And Traffic Islands, Black Garden or First Republic that'd be great. It's weird seeing em close with anything other than A Design For Life.
Still, course I'll be there if they do it.

Not all songs work live so some will be pretty pants but 'TGWWTBG' does work well Live.

Wouldn't be against this, unless it stopped them from producing new material. Otherwise, would love to see TGWWTBG, Removables, Interiors and Further Away live as i haven't done so yet. Still think it's a better album overall than THB, would be great live. I'd imagine if they did decide to do it that they'd do it as a three piece, with Naysmith of course seeing as he was part of the line-up back in 1996.

I loved seeing them play EMG Enola ADFL last year. I'd love to see them play more from EMG this year.

Would love to see this being it was the album that made me fall in love with the band. Though I would hope it wasn't done as just a three piece. With a small string section like they did EMG and ADFL on TV back in the day would be brilliant.
They could do what Springsteen does, he occasionally plays an entire album (Born in the USA, Born to Run or Darkness on the Edge of Town) in the middle of a set. Though his sets are usually 30 songs long so it doesn't dominant it too much. |

EMG
I'd love to see a tour highlighting EMG.
I arrived late to the album, only last year it really resonated with me. At the time, 1996, I loved the singles, the videos, and much preferred the Manics to Oasis, who were omni-present at the time. The EMG singles (aswell as the previous singles from GT and GATS) I felt were tremendous; but I never delved farther into the albums. Reconnecting with the Manics 2007 I became a huge fan; purchasing all of the albums, listening to B Sides on YouTube; and when JFPL came around, I was already a super-fan. EMG for some reason was only last year; maybe I felt I knew the singles so well that I knew the album. How wrong I was, the album is terrific!! It was the 10th Anniversary CD/DVD, watched one morn last year that pushed me to finally hear the full album. Fantastic stuff altogether; the main album, the demos, the bonus tracks/B Sides, the very well done Making-Of documentary. It's a stellar album, and just like in 1996, when listening to Oasis WTSMG last year alongside EMG, the Manics material leaves Oasis in the dust. To see 'Interiors' (what a cracking tune!), 'Removables', 'Girl who wanted to be God', 'Enola/Alone'...would be a special show indeed. |
