I have one really good Stalls ticket for sale, due to the Manics coming to the Netherlands. Please contact (PM) me if anybody wants it.

Posted a topic in the For Sale subforum to sell a Stalls ticket.
I had to place my ticket on viagogo (aka the devil's work), but would rather nobody get sacked up with extra costs. Any interest, please PM me! |

Just had a look on the RAH site - a couple of stalls tickets and boxes have become available for this show. No good for me as I want a standing ticket, but might be good for someone looking for tickets!

Okay, I just caved in to a front row stalls ticket, on the grounds that I am too old to mosh now anyway, so I'm in! Hooray

Screw DX delivery, can't just put it through the letter box...

Ours came by DX today for both RAH gigs and they posted them through the letterbox as no one was home. They do the same with passports too in my experience.

Finally sorted my tickets and got both nights for Albert Hall. Still gutted I can't afford Swansea and had to cancel my acomm last week. Feels all sorts of wrong not to be going :-( Is there any kind of fan meet up before the mon gig? I couldn't find a thread of one but probably being dumb!

Looking at the Set Lists from the gigs, I thought about getting a ticket but so glad I won't have to, its a terrible 2nd set of songs barring Nat West, You're Tender
Much More? Gosh what a con! It's true what fans have said THB set after was much better, plus the gig is just over 90 mins EMG is only less than 50 mins long. No wonder there's not activity any more at the gigs the band are not giving it. |

I can understand that you are underwhelmed with the song selection - apart from You're Tender and NatWest it's certainly not the kind of setlist that attracts me a lot, either. Apart from maybe Roses in the Hospital. Seeing It's Not Love crawl out of the abyss hasn't improved it from the Euro gig I saw, either, I must say.
![]() I do agree it certainly isn't "so much more". That is, ahem, advertising? ![]() Because, and here comes my defense of the band, the band are giving fucking ALL if the gig I was at is anything to judge by. Yes, the setlists are short and extremely middle of the road - probably because the band think that this one is "one very very last shot at mass communication"? But they play with the same dedication - and joy! - as always. It's a joy to see them play. And I maintain, they've always been a populist, greatest-hits-type gig band, haven't they? THB tour wasn't THAT different, really. Will be in attendance tomorrow.

I think you have a good point here. The sets are getting shorter, and the shows are days apart which is a sign of "preservation."

True enough. However I imagine the full album takes something of a toll potentially, vs playing a "normal" set.

EMG is not an easy album to sing in full, probably the 2nd hardest after the Holy Bible. Songs like Design, Everything Must Go, Enola, Removables, Interiors and Elvis contain a lot of shouting. No Manics' album since has not come anywhere close to that aggressive style of singing.
Tomorrow I hope to hear 6-7 songs I haven't heard live after seeing them 19 times over 13 years, that's not bad as far as manics gigs go.
