Oh yeah I know, I was debating whether maybe Bloodsports was better than Journal as well!

Stone was a beautiful masterpiece, almost convinced me Kelly Jones has feelings.

I see for me Journal is more important.
I think that what I like to listen to is:

The Holy Bible
DogManStar
Journal For Plague Lovers
Suede
Suede b-sides
Manics b-sides
Bloodsports
Everything Must Go
Lifeblood
Gold Against the Soul
Generation Terrorists

the rest I normally don't listen to. Two great bands.

Stereophonics are alright.. lost interest after JEEP tho. They had a new album out last year? My friend thought it was the new manics one. She gets them confused

I like current Suede and all but for me Bloodsports would still be bottom of that list. Sorry.

I like Bloodsports too. I'd like their next album to be a bit more eclectic though. Lot of songs on it were too samey.

The Holy Bible and Dog Man Star are probably my two favourite albums ever.

Basically because both bands are Welsh and guitar-based. I don't think there are that many other similarities between the two bands really (not that I'm very familiar with the Stereophonics' back catalogue beyond the obvious songs), so comparisons are a bit pointless.

This was my main problem with it. They seemed to run out of ideas a bit. Even some of the lead guitar lines sounded quite similar across the songs.

Both have been three-pieces for long periods. Both with quite similar set-ups etc. Stereophonics were influenced by songs like A Design For Life on their early albums. Both currently living off the success they had in the late 90s (alright, bit harsh that last one ).

I meant musically speaking really (none of the songs I've heard by them sound remotely like ADFL)...those other things are a bit tenuous tbh

I agree that there are songs (on Bloodsports) that have a very similar concept, but I don't mind it, Sabotage, Always, Faultiness, those are unique, the whole album works together and the idea of an album where relationship starts in the first song and ends in the last song is very very very touching for me.
