I hope it's not as stressful as trying to get Radiohead tickets on dialup. Spent all day refreshing only to eventually get a sold out...

I was only asking that people consider seriously about buying a ticket before knowing they can actually attend thus stopping the panic buying on ebay - we all seem to agree that the touting on ebay is pretty wrong. I'm pleased that you sell and buy tickets through the fan community - its great when that sort of thing works, but obviously its not always the case. Please dont take it so personally. I probably was only have a rant, i only know one person on here, you have to accept there will be some people willing to do that sort of thing?
To be fair though, in all the years of the band touring whilst I've been a member, I can't say I've ever seen that sort of behaviour on FD. If anyone ends up with spares, they tend to offer them at face value in the Ticket Exchange part of this forum and as far as I remember, no links to ebay are allowed. Yeah, there are fans who do rip each other off, but I don't think it's fair to tar everyone with the same brush, especially with regards to the members of this forum.

I've just been on the phone to Visa because it's ages since I bought tickets. and last time I tried to pay with my card I couldn't remember my memorable name and had to go running to Ade shrieking "WHERE'S YOUR CREDIT CARD! YOU HAVE TO PAY! NOW!1111111."

So, I just treated a girl at the call centre to "Hiya, I'm not sure if I remember my memorable name. Is it ... ?" She said, very patiently. "Yes, it is." I wonder how many calls like that she gets a day?

If I'm not lucky, that's OK, I've missed out before, that's life.

I agree 100% with this. I spent all day on the phone (I had to go to work and we had no internet access where I worked at the time) trying to get tickets for Take That's Beautiful World tour a couple of years ago and got a constantly engaged tone at the end of the line. By the time I got home from work, less than seven hours after they went on sale at face value, the gig I wanted to go to had sold out and touts had put them on Ebay for upwards of £100. If anyone can honestly find that defensible, then I can only assume they've never been in the position of desperately wanting to go to a gig but not being able to get tickets and not being wealthy (or bloody stupid) enough to pay that sort of cost to a selfish twat who's only out for his or her self.

Bought a ticket off Tim for £190 including an overnight stay at his hotel in central Glasgow.

Each room comes with a free pump, not sure what that is about?

Tim, please clarify.
