i've ordered from amazon regularly for years and have never had any problems. Not saying that i never will as all companies fuck up from time to time...it's how they deal with your complaint. Have they ignored it?

Only had one major problem with Amazon, they listed and charged me for an EP that didn't actually exist. Week after week of "Sorry, we will dispatch this item when our suppliers have it in stock" until they finally refunded me. Silly bitches.

Finally got a refund for it on Friday, but still. I can't seem to rationalise how a fuck up like mine happened.

Let my brother hear this song for the first time today. He only heard it once but said it was pretty good and it was catchy.

I've had no probs with Amazon so far, these things happen occasionally! Good to hear your bro likes it Everlasting!

Finally heard the song for the first time this weekend.
Well, what to think of it? I was quite disappointed the very first time, but now the melody has grown into my head and it sounds a bit better. But, compared to JFPL...
Guess it will be one of "those" songs, like You Stole The Sun, Australia or Autumnsong, songs I don't find very good but that I still enjoy listening to.

Late on the scene as usual but this is exactly what i thought after the first couple of listens....
Defo has the same feel as Elton Johns 'are you ready for love' with the rising tempo and I also thought the verse melodies reminded me of a beefed up 'Linger' by the Cranberries. A combination of two hugely popular tunes that make for a great pop record..simple as. JDB is the best of his and this generation at producing consistently great melodies but in an understated way.....thats why his solo album remains somewhat of a hidden gem and still sounds refreshingly boppy and catchy 4 years on.
Now go and put on 'Never Wanted Sunshine' and keep on dancing round the room...you know you wanna...

After about 5 or so days, INWJTEOL has been beaten on Kerrang! Radio's 'Hot or Not' tonight.

Pop Matters review of it

A turn towards the radio-friendly on the new Manic Street Preachers record may not be for everyone, but it's hardly new, either, and is a direction which has yielded great music before.

In announcing their latest and tenth album, to be released in late September, Welsh rock veterans Manic Street Preachers described Postcards From a Young Man as “one last shot at mass communication”. Provocative as ever, the band will have meant for this fascinating choice of words to sound ominous, but after the first UK radio play of “(It’s Not War) Just the End of Love” last night, responses will be varied.

Anthemic, brief, uplifting and string-laden, the new song will not be received by the faction of the band’s fanbase that applaud only the darkest of the group’s material, and have always felt that the harrowing 1994 album The Holy Bible was a singular high point from which the group have since uniformly declined. Those fans also didn’t like and may well have forgotten some of the band’s past explorations with pure pop-rock, including a number of wonderful and accessible songs spread across past albums like Everything Must Go (1996), Know Your Enemy (2001) and especially the tenderly icy Lifeblood (2004). Another faction of fans—myself included—lapped up that material, and will be impressed with the radio gleam of the new song.

After all, the Manics have accrued two UK number one singles in the past; they are no strangers to aiming their frequently politicised messages at the largest possible audience, and they have always been good at it. Having recaptured some of the essence of The Holy Bible by successfully assimilating old lyrics written by their disappeared member Richey Edwards on the superb Journal for Plague Lovers (2009), I for one won’t be denying them their “one last shot”. In fact, if we can expect them to keep up the quality of “It’s Not War”, they can have as many shots as they like.
