Wouldn't read too much into that "last tour" comment. Their own tour of the US they had to pay for out of their own pockets didn't they? I'm assuming they didn't for this one.
I'd guess they're not expecting to be invited on another any time soon.
James mentioned very recently they've started on some new songs so as far as I can tell everything is pretty normal

If Nicky says it's the last tour you can naturally expect them to do 20 more such tours

James's listening got me into The Bad Plus. Would never have known they exist if not for James's list
I recognise the names more with Nicky.
And it's piecing it together thinking what influence it'll have on the next album!

It's interesting that there are a fair few recent collaborators or support acts making the lists. I may be wrong, but ignoring them Adwaith are the only act to make both lists.

I completely forgot they were there! Could have sworn it was just Low Hummer and Sea Power but I stand corrected.

I really enjoyed the lists this year! Somehow I've missed a lot of new stuff that came out in 2022. I was surprised to see Cecile McLorin Salvant on JDB's list but I love her, and was happy to know about her new album as I was able to order it for my dad's Christmas present.

Not a Manics twitter post, but a twitter post from the Manics tour courtesy of Mas Osman:

Correction: I mistakenly said on here that Nicky from the Manics makes sure his bass matches his jacket. He's let it be known that he actually makes sure that his bass AND his eye-shadow matches his jacket.
