Regardless of how they may be vaguely comparable in some ways, it still annoys the hell out of me because to me, Richey just shouldn't be put alongside that twat in any light.
That's essentially what my contribution boils down to, ha.

on the intro there is a ringing 'G' and 'C' chord thats his at the start of each barre ("wheeled out once a year a cenotaph souveniiiii *G CHORD*-he-hiir "). that is richey. james is playing the riff (duh duh duh der der der der da da deer) and lets be honest, probably the bass!

Little known fact, Richey was a guitar virtuoso, and actually taught James how to play properly. However, when they were deciding who does what, James 'bagsied' lead guitar, and asked Richey to play dumb, because he had to be the best guitarist in the band. Nice man that he was, Richey let him, and played along, or not as the case was.
This incident may have been the root cause of everything that was to follow in the manic street preachers was because of this.
