Oh, and the title track of 'Postcards' may be a re-write of 'Motorcycle Emptiness' but...I prefer it...<ducks and runs for cover>

Postcards for mine - SATT is my least favourite Manics album, whereas I quite enjoy most tracks off Postcards.

Always thought it was more in the tradition of ADFL/Indian Summer.

Nah. 'Postcards' is built around longer, drawn-out riffs like 'Motorcycle', whereas 'ADFL' and 'Indian Summer' are more picked and skippy.

Postcards all the way, Tigers might actually have the better tracks, but the former is a more complete album.

I much prefer Postcards.

I feel like it does have an element of GATS.

Only VERY slightly though. Nowhere near lyric-wise in my opinion. But there's something there.

There's two albums I really, really couldn't care less about and Tigers is one of them.
