I'm sure JDB also did an acoustic session for Collins & Maconie's Hit Parade back in 1994 as well. Ages since I've heard that (like 20 years).

Took me approx zero seconds to get my missus to order this as a xmas present for me. Best album of all time, and to have it on vinyl was worth the money (especially for someone who's only recently bought a turntable again!).

It's a shame that the gig isn't complete, of course, and that there is so much repetition from the 10th-anniversary set, but I don't really mind too much.

And despite being a longtime early MSP fan, I don't have anything signed by them, so being in the first 1000 for this was a nice bonus -- if MyPlayDirect don't fuck it up.

I ordered mine early yesterday and it said nothing about being signed, so I guess I'll be getting the non signed one due to a myplay fuck up

I think this is only worth it if you didn't have the 10th anniversary one although I would guess that pretty much everyone on here has heard everything on this boxset at some point (with the possible exception of the unreleased "Revol" but it's amazing how many unreleased tracks are taken from bootlegs!) and will probably own most of it too!.

I would like the album on vinyl but I can't justify the spend.

I do however agree with the person who mentioned before that a short DVD piece explaining the origins of the quotes and why they were picked as that might well have piqued my interest!

I've actually fallen out of love with listening to live recordings of bands however, for those still very much in love with it there's about 8 songs missing from the Astoria gig and that show has had the hell bootlegged out of it anyway.

Thinking of cancelling now I've slept on it. It's less desirable than the 2004 version.

Sadly got no interests in silly box sets when only the music matters to me, when they say Remaster, surely they mean the ones from 2004?

IIRC I was very gullible when this was first broadcast and actually thought JDB was there in the studio with his chap flapping about while he strummed along.

Surely there's more interesting stuff to put out. Wasn't Removables originally a THB b-side? I'd like to hear the original of that.

Is this going to be available on Amazon or just the official store?

At a guess - licensing issues because one's a cover and one's a Heavenly song?

I think they're just embarrassed of Motown Junk at the Astoria. James's guitar cuts out, and then he loses his voice horrendously during the high bits. Understandable really...
