I like the xfm performance as it's clearly a last minute "would you do this gig?" in between type of look - JDB with the Great Western hair, the Lifeblood guitar straps, the band still with the Lifeblood gear. Is Wayne playing with them here?

Hadn't really considered this but I'd be inclined to agree! I've seen a few older videos or photos or heard recordings from these kinds of transitional periods and it's always interesting (to the nerdy fans who care): the few dates in 93 before GATS, early 1994 before they'd properly entered the Bible era, the Wembley comeback show in 1995... |

I loved that gig, one of the best I've been to. Just a real energy and defiance to it all. The KYE gig at the Apollo was great too, I'm hoping the gigs next year will reach those lofty heights.

What it must've been like to have seen that performance and Richey's stage dive. Amazing!

Recent 30 min James interview on EMG from Guitarist magazine. Nothing groundbreaking but more info on what guitars were used for which songs

I miss Sean's presence in video interviews, somehow able to cast deep judgements on his bandmates as well as you the viewer simultaneously.

Seeing as Firefight was being discussed elsewhere, I went down an internet and discovered this... the Patrick Jones video for the song, the tale of a lonely snare drum traversing around Wales.
Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W2RcvkOM58

Been trawling through the dark corners of 2007 YouTube and the algorithm is now throwing up gems like:

Stumbled upon this again. Underrated gig from 2007. I was at this actually!

That era was certainly a good time for their live performances. I went to the XFM Winter Wonderland gig in December 2006, four gigs in 2007, and one of their summer 2008 festival sets. All fantastic performances.
