Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America, and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach. And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face. |

EMG LIFEBLOOD TIMTTMY GT TUVL GATS KYE JFPL SATT FUTUROLOGY RTF RIF PFAYM I haven't listened to The Holy Bible since the tour. But I still think it's the greatest record ever. It's too dark for me too listen to anymore and I think it had a genuinely bad effect on my mental health when I was a kid. I've got a feeling TUVL might go up the rankings next year. It's their most melodic record and I can't stop listening to it. When we look back in years to come I think it might finish top 3 or 4 once it's sunk in completely. Lifeblood is one of their most played albums for me. Perfect night time listening. Cardiff Afterlife is a perfect closing track. |

I was curious if a few weeks would make any difference to my rankings, soooo...
Lifeblood The Holy Bible Futurology Journal For Plague Lovers This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours Rewind The Film Generation Terrorists Everything Must Go Even In Exile The Great Western Gold Against The Soul I Killed The Zeitgeist The Ultra Vivid Lament Send Away The Tigers Know Your Enemy Postcards From A Young Man Resistance Is Futile ...there you go. The top six and bottom two feel set in stone, but the rest are jumping all over the place. Clearly attending half a dozen gigs has improved the standing of TUVL and Generation Terrorists. Feel like TUVL will drop back down a bit once the gig memories have faded. Can't for the life of me explain why EMG and Zeitgeist have swapped places, or why Tigers has crept so far up, but what can you do. Quote:

I find it very difficult to rank as almost all of their albums are of very high quality. Tigers may be my least favourite, but it is still a good album. PFAYM I thought was Tigers done right.
Tomorrow this List could be different, but here goes - 1. The Holy Bible 2. Everything Must Go 3. Futurology 4. This is My Truth 5. Know Your Enemy 6.Journal for Plague Lovers 7. Resistance is Futile 8. The Ultra Vivid Lament 9. Gold Against the Soul 10. Lifeblood 11. Rewind the Film 12. Postcards from a Young Man 13. Generation Terrorists 14. Send Away the Tigers |

I posted 3 months ago and see I put GT second from end. Relistened over weekend and forgot how good it is! Overblown, OTT, all that stuff - but a lot of damn fine material included alongside some of their best.

Everything Must Go
Generation Terrorists The Holy Bible Journal For Plague Lovers Gold Against The Soul This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours Send Away The Tigers Postcards From A Young Man Rewind The Film Know Your Enemy Futurology Lifeblood Resistance Is Futile The Ultra Vivid Lament Those in Bold can switch from time to time. I think my top 6 are pretty much solid. I love 'Resistance Is Futile' and 'The Ultra Vivid Lament', they're only at the bottom because I haven't really lived with them yet.
