Ordered it on Saturday, received an email Monday saying it shipped (to New York). I know it's only been three days, but hearing how everyone else hasn't gotten theirs yet is making me nervous

I also didn't get any survey, unless that's coming after a few more days. Geez, the band needs to overhaul their online store!

Give it at least 7-10 days. Don't forget about customs and that end of the US is still dealing with Sandy damage.

I'd be concerned by *next* Friday. It's premature right now. Most European mail takes 7-12 days to get to me, at least!

Granted, most days I just get bills.

I guess this objection goes also for Manifesto's parts which do not pertain to that era.

Hi. I guess I was comparing the documentary to the Classic Albums series of documentaries. It wouldn't have hurt James to have picked up the guitar and played a few parts, rather than using the "Promo Videos" for the songs which are elsewhere on the DVD. There must be interview footage from the last 20 years with people talking about the album? There is footage from the time period, but it is compiled into extras like "Motorcycle Emptiness" montage and the "Home Movies" footage. There are certainly photos from the era (as they are in the booklet). For example when they are talking about the Horse & Groom gig they could have shown pictures from the gig. I just didn't find the documentary very engaging, but that's just my opinion. It possibly comes from being familiar with the history? For example when the band did their Blackwood gig at the launch of Postcards they visited sites around the town with Jo Whiley and that was more interesting. In my opinion the article in Mojo magazine this month is better and it has better photos than the booklet. I would give the documentary 3 out of 5.

Cool for Bachelorette

Thank you.

As I wrote elsewere months ago, I have the Spanish vinyl edition (of 1992) which comes with the A Streetcar Named Desire intro (then "erased") and is the same as the English one in terms of artwork.

It seems curious that they did not put lyrics.
Did they put the quotes before each songtitle?

If you refer to the batch of double CDs edition they released in Japan, indeed they are an excellent item.
I suspect that the original album remastering is the same of that edition (don't ask me how), while the i-Tunes program labels "Suicide Is Painless" (the extra track) as "Motown Junk" when you load it on the PC!

If you are into oddities and/or rarities, you may want to surf my blog under the "Manic Street Preachers" labels (mainly posts dating from last year around this time).

Cheers

The Gracenotes database also asserts that LBN features "Traci Loads".

A lot of the auctions that end with crazy prices are as a result of people using shill bidding via secondary accounts in order to raise the price. It doesn't mean it actually sold like that.
