I'm sure any eBay tout would be perfectly comfortable with a bit of shill bidding.

10% of his £499 asking price will go to British Red Cross - Haiti Earthquake Appeal - big man! basically less than the price he paid for the tickets themselves he will donate to charity the rest is pure profit - how does he sleep at night? Utterly disgusting.

His item is "Buy it now or best offer" I submitted an offer of £1.50, and he countered it with "£498, please grow up!"

I emailed him, i doubt he would care, but i had to say something, trying to contact ebay themselves to complain, may contact DF concerts. I'm so appalled that someone would behave this way.

replied to me -

What is your question?

Are you actually interested in buying these tickets or do you just feel the need to harass me?

told him i just wanted to harass him, enjoy spending your money.

I'd spend it, if anyone else is interested in taking one of the other tickets of a pair on here then I would be up for it because no one I know would do that.

according to ebay, in order to comply with certain laws, the face value must be made clear to the buyer/viewer.

so basically they're allowed to go "They're 30 quid...I'll take 200 thanks" if i've understood this correctly. Ahh isn't it beautiful

I called DF Concerts.... I expected the ebay thing, but for them to be on the GetMeIn website - and strangely, for someone to be punting four of them on there - really pissed me off. "We're just as angry about this as you, we've been lobbying MPs for a change in the law, we're for the punters" was about as far as it went.

I think you should be allowed to re-sell on ebay but only for face value + postage. You can at least get your money back then if you can't go.
Some tickets can't be sold on ebay at all, like football tickets.
They really should rethink their policies for these things.

Another tout with the "buy it now or best offer" valuing them at around the 300 marks

submitted an offer "£1.50 - I'd call that just as fair as your evaluation"
