Yeah I think a lot of people didn't notice the little bangs going off at the foot of the castle. And of course the 'barrier' folks don't see fireworks

That's brilliant! You came across grand. I won their greatest hits on Phantom a few years back and was on air for a few mins too, but yours was way better. Nice one!

Interesting that Nicky has a Thailand flag patch and an Indonesia flag patch - the first I can understand, of course, but when were the band last in Indonesia? Or was it a gift from a fan?

Came across very well, nice one Michelle. I also had some radio coverage too - Eleri Sion interviews Maniac Street Preachers kciks off from around 35 mins in

Hey hillgrove, I just took a still from the barely standard-def BBC red button TV coverage I recorded, which is why it's so low-res, then processed it to look like it does.

Pineapple and Framedadolescence... brilliant!!

I would like to bring one thing up tho "somewhat against my will got dressed in a camo turban." You have a permanent "yeah, why not" look about you, I didn't see any resistance to this turban fitting

Saw the BBC footage and they sounded just fine. No idea what some of you are bitching about. Maybe if you only got to see them live once every decade, you'd learn to appreciate them a little more. Just saying.

I'm just watching this footage now and it has to be said the crowd do look pretty flat :/ Was fine near the front tho. Plently of people bouncing around in front of me.
