Will we get an acoustic of Last Christmas?
She is Suffering and boring don't go together!

Amazing news.

New Old Manics songs to be played on tour...

Hope no-one's posted this already...

Manic Street Preachers are thrilled to announce that Cherry Ghost (www.cherryghost.co.uk) have been confirmed as special guests on the Christmas UK tour. The band personally chose Cherry Ghost, as their album Thirst For Romance is James Dean Bradfield’s favourite record of the year so far.

Meanwhile, the Manics have been planning more songs for said tour including 1985, Australia, Masses Against The Classes, She Is Suffering, Slash ‘n’ Burn as well as some acoustic oddities from James. The band are about to record B sides for Indian Summer, the third single from their gold selling eighth album Send Away The Tigers.

Excellent!!! All good songs to pick...

Excellent news. Hopefully they'll stick in a bit of Revol, Life Becoming A Landslide, Nostalgic Pushead and IfWhiteAmerica in there too.

I love the use of the word 'planning' in the second paragraph! i imagine the three of them sat round a table as if they were planning to rob a bank

Hmm...Not exactly an adventurous set of choices. Or, for that matter, new. Those songs have all been played live in the last five years.

Masters of the overstatement, these boys.

I love the intro to Nostalgic Pushead. The way the lead Guitar is played. After that it's a bit cheesy but I've heard worse by the Manics.

Maybe they'll play Yes electric.

Have they ever played Mausoleum live?
