I keep telling you people, this isn't a huge venue! I've been there before. You don't have to queue up for hours to have a good spot near the stage. The only reason you'd possibly want to get there early is if you want to maybe see the band members coming in and out during the day. If you're working during the day (which I and others are undoubtedly doing) you'll be fine getting there after 5:30. Nobody needs to freakout

Really getting excited for this show. Unfortunately I have to work that day and won't be able to drive down from NYC until around 5:30/6:00. Assuming rush hour traffic, I don't think I will get there until after 8 at earliest. Does anyone have any idea when the band will take the stage? I don't mind missing Bear Hands (esp. since I can check them out at webster hall the next night) but want to make sure I don't miss one minute of the manics.

I hope they stick to this schedule, as it would put the Manics onstage around 9PM. I've got an 11:30 train back to DC that I have to catch. If they take the stage any later than 9:30 or so, I'll likely be missing the last song or two as I race frantically back to the train.

Have they been going on around 9ish? Don't really care if I miss the openers, but I have to work too and if the Manics only start at 9 I'll have plenty of time to make it.

I'm hoping for 9 (or even 8:45). 9:30 would probably be OK but worrying. 10 and I'm definitely missing some of the last songs.

They came on at exactly 9:15 pm in Toronto and the show ended around 10:40 pm or so...it was definitely after 10:30 pm, that I'm sure of.
This is gonna be a great show for those of you going. A small venue like this one appears to be, is a perfect intimate setting for fans. Hope you all have fun! Enjoy! |

That would work out just peachy. Luckily, the train station is only two blocks from the show venue.

My watch was 5 minutes faster than that - I had them on at 9:20 and done by 10:45. (I've always been obsessive about checking those things at just about every show I've ever been to.)

I've decided I'm definitely going to the Philly show. I'll probably queue up early, but only because my bus from Pittsburgh gets into Philly around lunchtime, and I don't want to do anything else before the show, except get some lunch and check my email if I can find an Internet cafe. I've been to Philly enough times that I don't feel the need to do any sightseeing tomorrow, and I'm too poor to do any shopping.
I'll be the overfed, slightly sloppy-looking, grey-haired woman in an old black sweat shirt jacket, black and grey Converse sneakers, the same green cargo pants as last night and a t-shirt (I haven't decided which one, yet). I'll be by myself, so I'd really appreciate it if someone says hi to me.
