I think it's their best album. Makes me sad though, that Richey isn't around to collaborate. :/

Funnily enough I didn't really grasp how great this album was on the first listen. I knew it was good, but it was only with repeat listen that I really fell in love with it - was a definitely a grower for me. Even now I think it ranks amongst their best and 'All is Vanity' might just be my favourite manics track.

I think Peeled Apples is the best track they've ever written.

Still my favorite Manics album. I don't listen to it a lot anymore, but I think that's just in comparison to the period where I was listening to it *constantly*, haha. I did put it on in the car recently and it was just as brilliant as I remembered!

It was the first Manics album I listened to all the way through - back then I thought it was a good album, now I think it's a fantastic album and it's definitely my favourite Manics album. The other day I couldn't decide what album to listen to, so I put my albums on shuffle on my iPod, and I felt a strange thrill when Peeled Apples kicked in, despite having heard it I don't know how many times before.

It isn't popular? I had no idea. My favourite track on the album. I get a rush when that first chorus comes roaring in. It slams live too.

Along with Faster, I think 'She bathed herself..." is my favourite Manics song.
It just clicks for me. Something raw about it, gives me goose bumps!

JFPL is my favourite album ever.
THB will always hold a special (dark) place in my heart, but the tender moments on JFPL and the touches of humour just give it the edge for me.

It has the right mix of everything, even though the lyrics are Richey's exclusively, I think it was genius having Nicky sing Williams Last Words.

rock, punk, humour, darkness, intelligence...I adore this record.

This, its my fave track off the album, I hate Jackie Collins as much as I hate Autumn Song though.

Whooooaaa why?
I know it's about taste, and I mean this with respect but why do you hate it?

The 'oh mummy whats a sex pistol?' line is superb and the ending is MASSIVE!

I think the 'oh mummy whats a sex pistol' is just plain embarrasing, in fact I think all the song lyric is awful

Fabulous album! Its charm for me is that they make it sound really casual and easy, as if they've just sat down and recorded it.

Fair enough.
I thought it showed a nice glimpse of humour. I like the fact that the song is quite ambiguous and we wont ever really know what Richey was thinking of when he wrote it!

The line sticks in my head though and I go round the house singing it, to the embarssement of my 15 year old son who is probably ashamed of hearing is Mom say the 'sex' word
