I doubt they even sell out the Sydney venue which is considerably smaller in a much larger market.

But maybe there will be a lot of travelling Brits who grab tickets....

Jamie Roberts has been invited to join the Manic Street Preachers on stage as a guest guitarist during their British and Irish Lions tour gigs in Melbourne and Sydney.

The Manics, who had a top-10 hit with the song 'Australia', are huge rugby fans and they have lined up the concerts to coincide with the Lions' second and third Tests against the Wallabies.

Roberts has spoken to Manics lead singer James Dean Bradfield about the shows Down Under and he would love the chance to play with the band.

That's Mikey Havoc interviewing him. Mikey is a well known metalhead and liked the band around 1992, but not much after.

Funnily enough, it was Mikey's influence that got me into the Manics back in 91/92, so I felt like it had come full circle when I heard that interview!

July 2nd can't come fast enough
