But how many of those even bought RTF let alone Elton John, given the fact a lot of old members have moved on and don't even care about the Manics anymore?

Maybe they didn't buy RTF but did buy Elton's! That would be dramatic. Ok, let's think no one here bought his album, but this is poll material.

Thank you, thank you
You'll love the next one, because you will feel needy of Manics love.

And AFALC is blasting in my ears just in time to celebrate!

Elton John, well he is a legend so losing out to him isn't too bad!

I'm well chuffed that it got top 5! For a middle-aged band that haven't done anything for two years, it's amazing. Well done you hard working Welsh boys!

The lads can be rightfully proud of themselves and the album! The fire is burning bright!

It's better for us they do well in the charts though, the more records you sell, the more backing from the label you get, more gigs etc.

The physical album charts are not a true indication of how many albums have been sold so I'm not sure why anyone would put so much stock in them anymore. Just look at the overall amount sold these days compared to sales numbers 10-15 years ago.

Having said that, does anyone know how they're doing in the download charts?
