It was one of my fave manics gigs, though, and I'll maybe change my mind in 2 years time.

I respect that, but I had an incredible chicken, parma ham, spinach and pesto sandwich last week.
I've not had as good a sandwich since, but still thoroughly enjoyed all others I've had in between, and shall continue to do so.

Aye, it's in the S and V forum, but I forget the rule about how many posts you need to access it.

Grant, you'll be in the queue in two years time. You knows it!

Fuck, it just struck me.
Maybe after the raging and unexpected success of Saturday, the band will take the show to Europe or Japan, and film and release THAT?
What do you reckon?

Id almost guarantee they'll do a Japanese version in the New Year. They SHOULD film it - they've already proven it to themselves that they could do it. Plus the "extras" of Suicide Alley and New Art Riot that Wire talked about on twitter would be a good incentive for potential buyers of the DVD.

I reckon I had the same thought yesterday:

Maybe the talk of Japan wasn't just talk.

I reckon they should release a package:

Double CD: Well mixed recording of the O2 show.
Double DVD: Full concert from Europe/Japan
DVD Extras: A few videos of the cam footage from the O2 (TBTGOG, Stay Beautiful, Revol, ADFL, Tolerate)

This definitely won't happen, of course.

Wouldn't you want to see them playing their new material live when they come back? I can't see them doing another tour like PFAYM where they only play about 4 songs from it and then the usual back catalogue.

Can we actually have a proper tour of Postcards? Thanks!

I am so looking forward to the break. The last few years have been MSP saturation and living in London I find myself just going to see them cos I can/should (like you might follow a football team) rather than because I want to or because I'm particularly excited about it.

Sure the new fans will say that each gig was 'amaaayyyzinggggg' but really?

Some time off would do us all the world of good, just as long as they come back with Lifeblood and not SATT.

There is a recording of the show available on Dime right now. I've downloaded it but not heard it yet so can't comment on the sound quality.
