From my experience they are doing this everywhere now, I mean taking your entire ticket. It's happened at each of the last four shows I've seen in London, Hull, Lincoln and Grimsby. It really pisses me off. It was only at a Morrissey show in Grimsby this year that I managed to get one back at the end.

Sure the new fans will say that each gig was 'amaaayyyzinggggg' but really?

Some time off would do us all the world of good, just as long as they come back with Lifeblood and not SATT.
That's how I'd started to feel about the Manics in general over the last couple of years; it's felt more like a duty/obligation at times. I enjoyed Saturday a lot more than I was expecting to though and it made me realise I do still love them despite everything (PFAYM left me feeling hollow tbh); but I do need a break from them for a while and I think they need a break too and to stop and think about what the next album might sound like, rather than rushing it.

I got to the stage where I thought all the fun gigs were behind me, then had Journal at the Roundhouse and Brixton earlier this year, both of which were excellent. So I can still be surprised!

I was pissed at Brixton which may have helped!

I hope the band took notice of the enormous cheers that went up before the mention of Lifeblood, Empty Souls, Nixon and So Why So Sad.

Stop trying to do the songs down, you cunts

I still can't see how this one isn't making it to DVD and or Blu Ray.

For example- surely this can't sell more than what a live package containing all of the Manic's singles would sell, can it?? Imagine a deluxe edition with the concert and all the promo video's and the 2 audio CD's, it seems perfect.

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Placeb.../30162/#Review

I thought it was visually impressive as well as sonically too, just doesn't seem right.

My friend has asked me to pass on the following message:

Hello, my name is Cat, I am a manager at The O2 arena (and a Manics fan) and I'd like to send a message to all the Manics fans on the FD forum. I hope this helps:

- There was definitely not a DVD shoot and no commercial DVD will be released. The concert was also not recorded for a CD release.
- We delayed the start of the concert, and reduced the interval as we were concerned about getting everyone into the arena in 1 hour. Apologies for any delays, as it's not how we usually do things. The band were lovely and agreed to help out, and we hope no-one missed any songs.
- We still have some standing tickets in our possession and, if you would like one as a souvenir, please e-mail customerservices@theO2.co.uk with your postal address, and we will post one out to you. This is free and we do not even ask for postage.
- Abstract Unknown Girl (Laura) please e-mail me, I feel we owe you an apology.

Thanks.

Awww piss. The video being made in S and V sounds like it's shaping up to be pretty lovely though.

Thank you for the confirmation. At least we know there is nothing to expect release wise. It seems like such an opportunity missed and I know this falls on the label, could it have anything to do with the new deal they signed? Possibly not including any video releases?

Thanks so much for that! Also nice to see abstractunknowngirl's going to get an apology.

Cricri- I think I was standing next to you in the greyhound traps. You'd got one of your cool badges on. There was a girl who went past you in the queue and we were grumbling and you said, 'I think she lost something earlier'. I think that was you, right?

I don't think it was me I mean, I didn't have any badges on, plus, I'm more likely to insult people in my native language
