"(8) I thought ticket touting was illegal. Are there any legal issues surrounding reselling tickets?
In the UK, it is illegal to resell tickets for designated football matches without authorisation of the club, so you will not find those tickets available on GET ME IN! without authorisation.

The UK government has recently investigated this issue and it has called upon the events and ticketing industry to offer its own solution. The government also concluded that a well-functioning and honest resale and exchange market has clear benefits for consumers.

Ticketmaster and GET ME IN! are directly responding to the findings of the government and their recommendations, and we are commited to delivering more choice, flexibility and protection for all ticket buyers"

So it's not illegal yet so we'll do it, thats what I'm getting from that - thanks GET ME IN......fuckers

How did they manage to get hold of so many to re-sell?

They go "on sale" before the time they're declared to go on sale.

I reckon touts would pay people to queue up for them in the case of guararranteed profit gigs such as this one. The only fail-safe method I guess is the Glastonbury ticket system, which is probably very expensive and time consuming to implement.

so... now that the pre- for-sale excitement has died down, and we've pretty much exhausted the "fucking tout bastards" conversation, let's move on...

What do you think we can expect from the gig?
Lots of old old stuff (being 20th Anniversary of King Tuts)?
A new song or two?!
Special commemorative t-shirt/mug

Obviously You Stole The Sun will be there, prob KC/Australia/Ocean Spray...but apart from the usual suspects, what do you reckon?

Christ on a bike, they're still playing those songs on a regular basis? What a horrific thought. You poor people.

Not a dig at the songs. I love YSTS in particular, and Australia live is fantastic...just that these are the more obvious choices that we can come to expect.

I sense a hint of jealousy ;-)

But Nicky has better jackets these days so it's like a totally different experience to 10 years ago. Honest.

OK, that's a lie. You were at the Roundhouse. You know how boring it all is.
