Yes! Nixon would be fabulous! (Just save it for Birmingham, ta!)

Waiting on litte miss day of the dead to apply her face and then we're gig bound. I've had a nice Sunday afternoon nap while everyone else has been in the queue.

Oh and "Ba humbug, Halloween" and such.

I would buy everyone in the venue a drink if they played Nixon at Brum (and if I end up going obviously!)*

*the drink will be a glass of tap water

Nixon would go down even worse than Empty Souls, it'd be a disaster.

Yeah it was shit enough in 2004, much better songs off Lifeblood that should get an airing. I Live To Fall Asleep would be kind on the voice.

I don't think so, non-hadcore fans actually seem to remember Nixon was a single

I know, I'm just ripping the piss in favour of protecting the second best Manics single ever!

Yeah, I think Lifeblood is a decent album, but Nixon is probably one of the most standout songs I've ever heard. I am not afraid of being seen as a lunatic.

They could just do an entire setlist of Nicky vocals. Open with Ballad of the Bangkok Novotel.

I would actually like this, all of his solo album and b-sides as an after gig party is actually a dream of mine.

It'd hardly inspire a reaction though. Like alot of songs, good or bad, it'd be a total non-event.

I don't really care how a crowd reacts. If they don't like it then fuck 'em.

One of the things that I prefer about them doing more gigs but at smaller venues is that you get less idiots there just for ADFL.

My favourite idiotic comment by a part-timer was at one of the JFPL tour gigs where once they'd finished playing JFPL someone commented 'and now the gig really starts'.

I and a lot of people would be more than happy to hear some different songs while James' voice recovers or even Nicky singing some of his solo stuff.
