Having said that, does anyone know how they're doing in the download charts?
I'm sure our charts include downloads and cd's?

In the UK it's a combined chart.

so few physical copies are sold these days they've had no choice but to include the download chart. I would think most manics fans buy physical copies still tho' as the main fanbase is older

Oh, are they combined? That's clever (actually, they might be combined here too. Ha!)! Well then, coming in at #4 is very impressive especially for a band 21 years on from their first release. Well done! It's a really solid album too!

It's just another format really, like when tape arrived and ran concurrently with vinyl, or when CD did the same with tape. It only makes sense to count all sales, irrespective of format.

Just seen a tweet from Ian Rankin saying he loves the album and bought two copies! Jamie Roberts loving it as well! (natch!)

I was waiting for someone to ask 'Who is Ian Rankin?'! Jamie Roberts is the Welsh Rugby player who joined them on stage for the British Lions tour in Austrailia/NZ!

Once I used to buy both cd and cassette of the same album(well, not every one, just those I liked more). Now I should do the same with cd and download but I don't.Buying something and have nothing in my hands makes no sense to me....I'm old

I rather buy different CD editions and the vinyl than pay for the mp3.
