Sorry I didn't mean that he was fat or something.
I just couldn't find the appropriate word for 'slightly fatter than him in 1992' ![]() |

What they should really do is the full THB but on a Strictly Come Dancing special. The panel of judges could discuss prostitution, eating disorders, disenfranchising gun laws, capital punishment etc in between each song being performed, as we watch graceful waltzes by professional dancers.
4st… SEV-ENNN lbs!

Tbf they played the majority of it during 2004/2005, the only ones not played being Mausoleum and TIHOE. There's a reason for that...they ain't much cop!

Nope. I imagine James wincing and shaking his head off-camera at that moment.

They did an album tour with JFPL why on earth wouldn't they do the same with THB? Tour the new album in April..festival appearances in the summer then THB in the autumn/winter...... James will stay bug free won't he? ![]() Last edited by hummingbird; 17-10-2013 at 19:02. |

i've no objection to them playing THB in full at glastonbury but the majority of the crowd would react thus >
![]() Would be a wasted opportunity and they do like to feed off the crowd. I predict proper gigs in indoor venues. Whether they do one or two gigs at arenas or a number of smaller places we'll see but they wouldn't just do one gig at a small venue or a competition gig. They'll either do it properly or not at all. ![]() |

I reckon if Nicky jokingly said one day on radio "Tonight we'll be playing as if it's our last ever gig", this forum would have a 20-page thread within minutes assuming he meant it. It's exactly the same as when people got on their high horses about RTF having 'ripped off' David Axelrod and the fear of the Manics getting sued... before realising that actually they'd credited him on the album anyway.

Axelrodgate wasn't an overreaction. It was the right and proper reaction to there being no mention of the song's origins on any relevant press release or in anything the band said about it. "Scott Walker/Love's Forever Changes" was how it was presented when it made its debut. The writers were listed as Bradfield/Jones/Moore on the MP3.
You can never put anything past them when it comes to plagiarism. See also, the Captain Beefhart sample mysteriously disappearing. Yeah, that wasn't last minute... |
