15 years ago yeah, but these days you should be ok turning up at 4 and getting barrier, maybe even later. Generally I'll walk past venue a couple of times just to familiarise and see how queue develops and it has been getting later.

Anyway, been on google but would rather hear it from the horse's mouth... Does Ireland have two or three pin plugs?

The last couple of shows in the Olympia haven't seen a big queue as far as I remember. You could arrive around half 6 and get to the barrier.

Three pin plugs! Though if you need two pin plugs there are shops on every street that sell them for a couple of euro. Oh yeah, bring euros

Nice one. Think I'll bring about €100, hopefully be alright with that especially seeing as we're going to pub instead of hotel..

I think there will be a queue because a) it's on a Saturday and b) it's a holy bible gig (bring the old school fans out of the closet). I would aim for 4 or 5 at the latest to get into the pit.

The floor space is VERY small in the Olympia too at the front. So it will be very squashed and very hot and sweaty!

Would anyone be up for a pre-gig meet up/queuing together? Happy to meet up with people who are flying in as well too

Not flying in till 2 and the gf will probably want to get food. She doesn't understand Manics cueing. Will probably end up cueing at like 6-6:30.
Last time I was at the Olympia to see St Vincent we turned up about then and there was a fairly big cue but somehow we managed to get the the front anyway. I think everyone went to the bar or the merch stand as soon as they went in.

Would anyone be willing to text us the setlist (2nd set if the 1st is in order?)? A couple of volunteers would be great!

If they play 1985 on Sat night, watch out for a guy on the ground floor exploding in a cloud of happiness.

Mausoleum is likely to have the same effect, ironic considering the subject matter.

Excited isn't the word

I read somewhere that it might be Andrew Weatherall.

To be honest, I couldn't give a flying fuck about a DJ before the gig.

Their own usual pre-show and walk on mixes are deadly.

One assumes that the 20:45 start time holds fast for us over here too....?

The Olympia's curfew is 23:15(ish) as far as I remember.
