oh god I didn't see any of that from the seats ... I was going to say the crowd was wanker free for a change but obviously not on the floor....

Glad feels like heaven was kept in cos it was my first gig this tour

Agreed. I've only heard FLH once but they have enough of their own songs they never play before starting on covers. I was really looking forward to hearing YTAYT so I was disappointed that got dropped for a cover. I'm not a huge fan of Tolerate at the end either; ending on YLU would be much better.

Other than that I really loved the gig. The crowd (and band) seemed more into it than Stockholm. The video screens were ace as well!

Should really end on Motown Junk but I think its not been played at all on this tour.

That was a bit part of the problem with the Editors supporting, fans of music genres not so suited, it was awful in 2004 when that Razorshite supported, so many morons.

Probably a fantastic show but it was a shite experience for me. We were up in the gods by the side of the stage and although the tickets weren't sold as restricted view, I could see less than half the stage. Then people in front leaned forward and I could see nothing at all.

Felt completely disengaged and in no small measure pissed off.

I had an amazing time. I struggle to love the Manics these days but this gig brought a lot of it back for me. I was in the front row of the stalls, just behind the mixing desk. My area of the stalls was pretty static, but I decided I was going to dance to "The Girl Who Wanted To Be God" even if no one around me was moving, and once I was up I stayed up! I had a brilliant view and it was actually great that for the most part I was the only one standing in my section, as it gave me a lot of space to dance and throw my arms about I thought they were in fine form and sounded brilliant. James may skip some of the high notes these days but I thought his voice was in great shape. He kept saying how impressed he was at how up for it the crowd were for a Monday night!

So tempted to go again tonight, but I must save (a) money and (b) my creaky middle aged limbs, as I'm out again on Wednesday for another gig. But it's been a long, long time since the Manics made me so happy. Contemplating Swansea or Eden now!

i had a nice time last night considering i had a seating ticket. also, never again seating during the manics, HOW CAN YOU SIT DURING NSAF????

here are my vids,
Elvis impersonator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzZcvWgBW38 (no outro sorry)
The girl who wanted to be god https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5C_yF4keA4
Feels like heaven https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXuknNJGi1s

Also experienced idiots popping for pints every 2-3 songs, f.cking w.nkers.

Chris Trimby said they were afterpartying up till late so i left shortly after the gig

I hate when people just go to gigs and don't seem to care for the music bar one or two songs and just stand around drinking and chatting away, it really angers me. Hope they didn't ruin people's night too much. Hopefully Leeds will be better, it'll be my girlfriend's first Manics gig so I want her to have a good time and enjoy it as the last gig we went to last year was surprisingly ruined by drunken idiots blocking our view and talking for the entire show!

Hi -coming out from long time lurking mode!- I thought it was a great show - Did not like Feels Like Heaven - but it seemed like a very Manics thing - to not just do back to back greatest hits.

I was standing up and was amazed at how un Manics the crowd was for the main part (certainly around me) only recognizing the hits then chatting etc.

For my sins I've never been the biggest A Design For Life fan but felt it feel a bit flat being so early in the show (although I have seen them open with it before)
enjoy those going again tonight!

I haven't posted here for many years but just thought I'd pop on to see how people got on last night. For me hands down one of the best times I've seen them. Truly back on form. However, as some have mentioned, the crowd in the standing area was a bit shit. Shouting and pushing people around around and being shit in general. Fine talk to your mates, fine have a bit of unruly dancing, let yourself go, do whatever you want. But, and here's the important bit, don't be a dick. It's not that difficult once you get used to it. Just don't be a dick. And also, how many fucking pints do you need? You don't need any more if you're being a dick already. More pints will only further your dick being behaviour. So be a dick less than you're being and we'll all be fine.

The gig was brilliant, I had a standing ticket and was down the front - I loved Natwest, Walk me to the bridge (sounded so powerful!) and Tolerate

I'll be posting some pictures soon!

Yes! 'Don't be a dick' is all I expect from people at gigs. I don't care if people choose not to jump around or sing along (I also heard some guys behind me at this gig bitching about others around them not moving much...doesn't mean they're not enjoying it, so mind your own business!), but there is absolutely no need to disrupt the experience of those around you. Booze doesn't help, but I suspect the annoying people at gigs are dicks the rest of the time anyway, booze just amplifies it.

Anyway...here are a handful of photos, although I didn't take that many with being 2/3 rows back:

Completely random aside, I see from Twitter that Luke Evans was at this gig. Have to say I freaked out a bit at this information as I love him and was in the same room as him but didn't even know it! Nice to know he's a Manics fan too though.

I went to both nights which were both amazing, but for me I think the first night was better, it really was one of the best shows I've ever seen them do. The levels of euphoria from both crowd and band were incredible, up there with Brixton 2014 1st night. Also such a privilege to see them in such a beautiful and historic venue - like Nicky said on stage, it's unlikely they'll play there again.
