Masses - just because of the drums.
Then lotta songs recently - I mean since Murray and Reed joined: Tolerate Australia JFPL songs during US tour (what the hell did the organs and backing vocals mean?) No Surface All Feeling (unfortunately) Autumnsong Motorcycle Emptiness Your Love Alone (ISS NOOTT ENOUGH NOOOT ENNOUGH NOOOT ENOUGH) Slash And Burn LA Tristesse (Sei--ei---eigh) Ocean Spray (James being lazy) You Stole The Sun (piano EVERYWHERE) The Underdogs - but it's maybe just the video mix) Indian Summer (lazy)

Off the top of my head, I've got some controversial choices but here goes:
La Tristesse - definitely the one I hate the most, as radiomanic can testify... Tolerate/Ocean Spray/ME/Motown Junk/Faster/YLU - just really, really, really bored of these now Masses - just for that annoying keyboard, although it sounds beefier with a second guitarist This Is Yesterday - learn some new acoustic songs, for god's sake! TLORN - Was never destined to work live. Solitude Sometimes Is - Hate the recording, hate the live version (though the IOW version sounded promising) Empty Souls - Barring the IOW version, James has always struggled with the vocals (remember the Tsunami gig, anyone?) Let Robeson Sing was going to make this list but I've really started liking it after hearing the versions from the US tour.

He was suffering from the flu or whatever around about then though - its main outings were around him being ill, other than that there's only been the PPF tour.

I'm mixed on the input of Richey II (sorry, forgot his name momentarily..) I think Tolerate definitely benefits from him, but at the GMEX gig he ruined Slash N' Burn with his backing vocals. Never been a great lover of that song as it is. Sometimes there seems to be a bit too much keyboard in other songs. I dunno.

The keyboards are way too irritating on certain songs
Masses... why? Faster? NO JCEQT also now suffers from this problem Seriously just get Keyboard Sean to go offstage for a bit Other bands do it when a particular member isn't needed. I know its better than when Nick was touring with them, but seriously, Faster imparticular has just been ruined live in my honest opinion (and yeah it's my favourite song) Wayne? Well, it's better than having the keyboard I'm more concerned that James doesn't seem to play much during verses, and that Wayne now does the bulk of the work. But they sound better than when it was just James on the guitar Backing vocals Wayne seemingly didn't perform them great on Slash N Burn and Born to End during SATT. Why doesn't Nicky join on with them, and hell, even give Sean a mic |

Because even so, Wayne with laryngitis would be better than Nicky.

I can't say that at the gigs themselves I am dissapointed to hear any song they play and they always sound pretty good. Listening back over some bootlegs though VSEC live really didn't work. I'm also not a fan of so much vocals and input from sean and wayne, i'm there to hear James voice and sometimes they are drowning him out

James could, y'know like, join in on some backing vocals, i.e, slash n burn, born to end and roses |

I agree with whoever said Masses has never sounded as good as when they played it at the millenium gig. It was so raw and intense. Although, it was great at Witnness 2003. I was always let down by Motorcycle Emtiness live. The last few times I have seen them, since Naysmith has departed and they brought on a second guitarist, it's sounded a hell of a lot better. An example of Naysmiths Motorcycle is on the Everthing live video and probably a few other releases too. That one stands out for some reason. Basically I want more guitars and less fucking organ sounds and I'm happy |

Everything must go, it kinda feels flat to me unless they're on blinding form that night, perhaps Your Love Alone too for the same reasons, and Tristesse until the astoria 07 and then all three roundhouse gigs where it just clicked for me. And i dearly hope i never hear ocean spray, the everlasting or autumnsong live again but mainly due to over-exposure...
