i reckon it would've been cool if the audience watching the chess match were all Nicky Wire clones with the real one amongst them hooked up by an earpiece microphone to Michael Sheen helping conduct him against the evil seductive force that Anna Friel is portraying........haven't really thought of an ending yet but the Wire would
come out on top and the video could run a bit longer than the music anyway,no harm in that. Ooh..the ending could be James and Sean representing businessmen/city types reading a newspaper with the headline and front page about the chess match and its consequences.

Would have been better if the chess pieces were miniature versions of the band. Nicky the Queen, obviously.

I refused to believe the hype that Michael Sheen and Anna Friel would make it an amazing video, and it isn't really. It's something different though, at least the plot refers back to the title.
