But there's no organs to hear on the Millenium concert, it's just bass, drums and guitar and it rocks, I loved it from the first time I heard it when I got that gig on VHS and on DVD about two years ago or something. Now compare it to I think it's a live version from about 2001 at some festival and ALL you hear is the Naysmith keyboard organ crap and it's embarrassingly cringe worthy. Infact I'm going to find that now for a laugh!

Found this randomly on the internet (StumbleUpon). There's a reason I posted it in this part of the forum
(Apologies if it's been posted before)

If you don't tell us we'll just have to imagine the worst. Well, the worst we can imagine is probably too tame anyway.
Ha, that's ace. |

When I had all my cds together I could never make up my mind how to categorise em. Alphabetical and chronological always made sense, but I always wanted to mess about a bit. I'd lump Velvet Underground, Lou Reed and John Cale together... Beatles, Lennon, McCartney and Harisson together etc.
Now itunes is a bit messy. I've just stuck Great Western on, but the I can't decided if I like the way I've had it filed or not. I've got album artist down as Manic Street Preachers (which I know it isn't, but at least it keeps them all together) and the songs individually labeled as James Dean Bradfield so it all comes up right on Lastfm or whatever. I feel like I'm doing it right and wrong at the same time. Ha, such a small detail but it feels like such a massive dilemma, that's how important Manics are to me |

Surprised that Damaged Goods haven't tried to sneak in another reissue of New Art Riot. I mean they put out 7 vinyls and 3 cds between 1990-2006 and nothing since, very poor form.

I wonder how would Incy Wincy Spider sound like if JDB sang it...

"It is produced by Robin Wynn Evans of the View, Sam Brown and Dodgy fame. When Edwards asked for the sound of a guitar smashing to be added to one of the tracks, Evans replied "smash your guitar then!" The dismembered neck of said guitar was then signed by the band and Evans, and is currently used as a doorstop at his Perthshire T Pot studio."
Anyone know if this segment found on wikipedia about New Art Riot is true or false? It says that there's a citation needed, it's been on the page for ages and as it hasn't been taken down yet I assume it must be true. Although I've never heard it been mentioned anywhere else. |
