Having read the last couple of points, I thought of a solution. If you want to send a gift and leave a personal message of congratulations, than you might want to consider this:

Velindre is already part of the charity site 'Just Giving' all I've done is added a page to leave a message with your donation. Any donation goes directly to the hospital. James has been a patron of the hospital for a while. It's an official charity site.

I'm really happy at the news but i think that it would be a bit strange if we'll send him a gifts.We don't know them and he always want kepp away from the limelights his private life.Maybe he appreciate more if we'll show respect to his privacy,especially in this event.
A congratulation card would be a good thing,not too intrusive i think.
