The two year break thing was a reference to giggin in the UK, not releasing new material.

I wouldn't take much from that article, the journos from the South Wales Echo tend to just scour the Internet for a story, copy and paste old stories and factoids and make an article out if it. They do it with Cardiff City and transfer speculation, they've directly quoted know nothing fans off message boards and reported it as fact.

Maybe in total with all their ideas and stuff they've recorded already for these two albums, maybe they're close to Nicky's original claim of doing a 70 song album!

it'll be closer to a 20-30 song album if you factor in b-side shennanigans. Will they bother with singles or just have *focus tracks*

They did say they'd never release a single, I imagine it will be in the same vein as Peeled Apples and JCEQT. Hope b-sides emerge though, maybe through EPs.

yes, oh wise one, they did say that. they also have, however, fed consistent amounts of bullshit about everything they have ever done. the only one they have stuck to is "no live album", although you can make a pretty decent one yourself from official releases of live recordings.

having watched Bowie with Where Are We Know, i wouldn't be at all surprise if Nicky Wire announces every track off the album is being released as a single, assuming the band will take over the charts that week.

They start off talking about the two albums, then halfway through Nicky grabs his old script ('done ten albums', 'all our contemporaries have split up and reformed', 'me and James have known each other since we were 4') and at that point I'm like, [i]he's going to do it, he's going to mention the politics degree[]. Alas, it was not to be on this occasion.
I sort of love you right now!

I'm excited for the album. Given everything they've said about two different sound albums, I'm intrigued to find out which one this is, and how the title will fit (if they keep it).

I'm really, properly thrilled and excited that a new album is on the way (and that they'll be touring the UK again). I can't wait.

I think the working title probably is a bit duff but I don't really care.

I don't mind if they decide to stick with this title or change it to something else.
