Grumble grumble. But really no Welsh date?
Luckily I can probably make the dublin gig, just.

Fair point - I think it's more the hope thing though. As you said, you never had any expectation that they'd be in America or wherever else. Whereas it wouldn't be ridiculous to hope they'd make it to Cardiff or the Midlands.

I know that theoretically none of them are too far from anywhere else, but you know what it's like with travel and childcare and all that. Might as well be Toronto as Manchester for me but with a bit of luck somebody might get a good bootleg out of it.

Disappointed there's no Welsh or Midlands gig, but I suppose it was a lot to ask after the spring tour was pretty extensive. The Roundhouse is great anyway.

Yeah, I know, it was a bit of a flippant comment....I'm wondering if no cardiff gig is because they think the association with richey would just be too much - the place they recorded it, where he lived etc. I think given they seem to have only wanted a couple of venues, it's not so surprising the midlands is missed out - after all there's fairly easy transport links to manc or london - there's also no southern gig, no northern gig etc.

Nicky said he had been going through notebooks as part of putting together the box set at Mastertapes, so I think there is going to be one. Sean also apparently said that there would be a vinyl.

Well there's Manchester? But yea, it makes sense. Maybe the Cardiff homecoming of the Bible would be too much for them. Having said that, the three nights at the Roundhouse might reflect the three nights at the astoria. Not the same thing, I know. Does the astoria still exist?

Overall I'm just glad to see them out and about, and playing some very rare songs, even if there are many of us that won't be able to make it.

Yeah, but newcastle and the north east are much further from manchester, and cornwall is a long way from any of them. birmingham seems fairly well served by comparison.

No, the astoria is gone. Roundhouse is much nicer though.

I thought Cornish people had given up hope of ever having a gig there?

Astoria was an absolute shit hole, I know I should be protective of music venues but it was one place I was happy to see go.
