|
I knew about that Facebooking line on Stow Hill off a review from last month, so hearing it didn't come as a surprise. It doesn't make it any less clumsy though, in general references to things like Facebook/Twitter/Google/the internet in songs must be avoided at all costs because there's really no way you could write anything good.
Still, at least it's not as bad as Placebo's 'my computer thinks I'm gay.'

Just wanted to say that only 16 hrs and 17 minutes to go until it's midnight in Finland, meaning Futurology will be on Spotify. Am nearly pissing myself. Record shop opens at 11:00, so will be there to pick my physical copies as well.

The Facebooking line doesn't sound TOO terrible.
I think the problem with the recent albums is that JDB's enunciating a LOT better than previous, so you really notice the dodgy lyrics now

JDB's voice is pretty damn good on those last four lines!
Only took 2 listens to get into Divine Youth and that Georgia Ruth bird is a perfect match on this song
