I'm an obsessive collector but I still try and get "bargains". Most I've paid for anything besides the shoebox is Motown Junk cd for £50. Wouldn't put it past myself to pay £100+ for a promo in the future though. Think even if I won the lottery I'd still want a bargain

Aye. Used to get a similar feeling buying stuff in shops even if you could get it cheaper off eBay. Don't really get the same buzz out of record collecting these days

Despite being a fellow obsessive collector, I've missed out on loads of good stuff through trying to get a bargain as opposed to paying the going rate.
Having said that, I don't think anyone could call £1,000 a bargain but it was one of the main missing pieces from my collection & in ten years had never even seen one before. Anyway, I'm about to put up some of my favourite items which no doubt will cause some forum members to think I'm showing off (I didn't start the 'Show your collection' thread of course), but hopefully it'll be of interest to more than just a few.

At first glance Generation Terrorists? This is the vinyl 14 track single LP US Mix version which you rarely see as opposed to the common 18 track UK / European double LP. My copy is also still sealed in the original shrink-wrap. Can't think many of these were sold in the US in 1992!
