You can tell us if there's a song over 4:30 long. If there isn't, I'm guessing there's nothing more that needs to be known.

Longest track is 4:28 (Golden Platitudes). But I'm going to shut up now. I don't want to be that asshole talking about stuff most people don't have.

um what are people saying, that we can't have someone discuss their impressions and describe stuff and basically give news on the biggest thing to happens to a Manics forum, because it hasn't been released yet? ok, then mods delete the descriptions and info we've been hearing from the press, because journalists aren't better than any of us. otherwise grow up and realise that sometimes people hear stuff before you and let the good man talk about what we all want to hear about. you can have a spoilers thread or something- but you know, descriptions aren't really 'spoilers' guys. it's music not Lost.

That's a good argument to make, and one that I happen to agree with. However, I think you're forgetting just how hoity-toity certain members of this forum can get about how people should go out and buy the album on release day and avoid any and all leaks before that day. I'd like for Vancouver to be able to talk about it on FD but there will inevitably be a HUGE argument that goes on because of it and we'll all take sides and it will just drag on and on and on...

Anyway, I know of another forum where Vancouver posts where I hope he will discuss it a little further.

If people don't want to read about "spoilers" for an album (seriously, what the fuck are spoilers for a record?) then probably best not to read a thread entitled "NEW ALBUM NAME" really wouldn't you say?

On another note, I cannot believe how many bloggers have recieved this album so early, it's crazy!

I'd personally value your insight, Vancouver, it hardly spoils the record to hear someones opinion on it, seeing as we've heard a few tracks already or at least a single, we have a clue what it will be like. People don't have to read it if they really think the abum will be ruined because you say you like it or whatever.

I agree with Tidus and Franny. You can't spoil an album that everyone heard three years ago.

'I'm not going to listen to any Manics songs for a month in case it reminds we what they sound like and ruins the album'
