That's a point actually... I find it interesting the shift in the musical input of Wire and the lyrical input of James and I'm sure the album will just credit everything to Manic Street Preachers but hopefully they'll allude to who wrote what on tour or in interviews like they did Golden Platitudes and I Think I've Found It.

I think it's going to divide a lot of fans personally. I think RTF is a perfect compliment to the band and what this new album is likely to be about. I am guessing the main single "Show Me The Wonder" will be a "proper" Manics single for the majority of fans. However, I can't fault RTF at all - lovely meloncholy, different band dynamic and soulful.

Right -ordered it from Amazon.
First impressions:
Musically superb, can't really be faulted. Atmospheric is the word that comes to mind.
I found myself panicking hoping that James' voice would kick in soon. Whilst not unpleasant (and I can hear the Johnny Cash vibe like others have said) I really don't think Hawley's voice fits the lyrics. Just something frustrates me about the second singing of the word "again" - I know it's silly, but it just seems out of step!!

However - this song is truly sparked to life when Bradders kicks in! And musically his parts are top notch Found myself grinning like an idiot!
A welcome comeback - I have a brilliant feeling about his album now, I think it will be very similar to This is my truth...
Which is a brilliant thing.
And any worries about it being an acoustic album need to be put to bed now - the sound generated by the band is nothing short of epic in parts of this song (the James parts!)

I like how the drums are quite low in the mix so it lets the guitar frame the song. Very cool.

It is but it's probably inaccessible to 99% of the world's population as usual.

After all my scepticism, like a sap I preordered the deluxe album on itunes.

Song is brill.

I like it as it very much reminds me of Walker Brothers particularly No Regrets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kf3Hyxl67g

Love it. Despite being acoustic, the guitar work is pretty complex and very clever.

Jesus I am a Manics loving sap. This might be my fav era, certainly in theory, since Lifeblood.

Excellent call to No Regrets - I was banging my head trying to recall which Walker Brothers song it was ripp.....borro....influenced by. Certainly excited by this Era so far.

quick question, is Lucy Jones who sings "This Sullen Welsh Heart" an old X factor contestant??

Definitely a missing track from Love's Forever Changes

Sounds a bit weird on first listen, which like all good MSP stuff probably means that I'll eventually like it

*twinkle twinkle*

Bit of ye olde folk guitar. Then it sounds weirdly Manics but not Manics, like an acoustic version of a full band Manics song. Definitely best when James kicks in. But I'm gonna fall between two stools here, it's a bit long and I'm not sure the second RH 'verse' needs to be that long, or even there at all. I might change my mind when I've listened a few times, but it felt like the second 'verse' robbed it of energy just when I thought it was going to get all thrilling.

Thanks for the link, I'll rip the audio & listen to it later, video's don't mean much to me, I can't even recall too many MSP to be honest, all I care about is the 'Music'
