I thought maybe Walk Me To The Bridge might have been for the benefit of the website because it's a bit odd shoving it in a programme allegedly about THB (and they did it again during the pick-ups, so it can't have just been a warm-up for the audience). But then they also barely used any of the audience pre-selected questions despite asking about 10-20 people to sit at the front and bypassing the rest of the queue, so maybe the format of the show changed from the original concept. |

Maybe they just recorded audio of it? Hope something pops up from this show soon.

I was looking around for cameras, couldn't see any. I would have expected that they wouldn't have performed in headphones if they were filming it and for there to be one directly infront of the stage.
I have a feeling it will just be audio. Apropos of nothing: James' headphones left black marks on his collar. |

Oh and re: it being filmed, John Wilson (the presenter) just said this on Twitter in response to being asked if it was: @JohnWilson14: @FDForum @Manics No it wasn't. Was due to be filmed for Red Button + online, as billed. But then someone decided it was best not to.. |

That's a shame indeed. Well they better release the audio of it otherwise it was a pretty pointless thing if none of us apart from the handful of people there know what was talked about, played, etc.

Well it'll be on Radio 4 as part of the Mastertapes series in November; that was the whole point of the recording. Although I would imagine the final version of that will be edited somewhat.

Well that was a fantastic day wasn't it? It was nice having a giggle with Sean and Nicky barely being able to conceal the THB gigs. Loved the story of Richey wanting to meet up with Oasis for a fight.
Couldn't believe that James thought they were talking about his parts on Walk Me To The Bridge when the engineers said there had been a sticky problem. Don't think Sean had realised that the headphones had left black gunk all over his ears too. Really appreciated that the journalist really did try to engage Sean and draw him into the conversation as much as possible. It's not often that you hear him speak despite being pivotal to the music. It was also really sweet of Nick to want to point out that James was also instrumental in the style and feel of THB being the prime musician on the album and the number of hours he clocked up writing and recording it. It was gut wrenching when the band were pushed on their feelings towards Richey's disappearance. But I do think the journalist did it with some tact and sensitivity. It was clear that it was an important subject, but he didn't grill them for voyeuristic appeal. I certainly didn't see any cameras, so I think it was just for Radio 4 audio only.

James made a comment to the quietus about really wanting to play yes and others but because of the lyrics being censored they decided not to.
