Pre-Xmas, and for a lot of people pre-pay day for December, isn't a great time, they'll shift more come pre-Xmas payday and the rest in the new year.

I wonder if they will record the Cardiff gig. Considering how amazing THB tour is sounding, it would be a shame if they didn't!

It's not that much of a surprise it didn't sell out instantly, most people already shelled out to go to these gigs assuming there wouldn't be any other, and they released them when people are out on tour just before xmas. That and there was next to no publicity so the huge amount of touting didn't happen. I doubt the others would have sold out so fast without it. Plus cardiff is a HUGE venue.
