As doors opened this morning there were more than 200 there, i was number 66 in the queue at 5:30 am!

Just got mine from Banquet, they had plenty left when I was in there about an hour ago. Only took about 45 minutes to get through the queue.

Dont understand how you needed to be queued up for more than 2 hours before the shop opens to get the record at my record shop yet others still have plenty left. Really doesn't seem right.

I imagine it depends on how many copies each shop orders. I know in the shop I went to today, they had clearly underestimated the demand for the Brand New vinyl by quite some way and not got nearly enough copies in, there were some pretty pissed off looking people talking about that.

Having said that, I guess there's a lot of luck involved. I remember being quite keen on getting hold of a Flaming Lips box set in 2011/12 and queued up in what I thought would be good time, about 20 people in front of me, but they were all gone when I got there. I asked the woman at the till and she said they'd only ordered about 5 and they hadn't expected them to go so quickly, it just happened that the first people in all wanted one.

I think it has something to do with how many the organisers are willing to send aswell. I heard some shops had got less copies than they ordered for some titles.

Yep, they can ask for what they want but what arrives in the order is another matter. Their Manics wasn't really shifting, but the dissapointing half order of Placebo they got was steadily going. Think they got them the wrong way round quantity wise! I tried to get Foos for a friend but there was some issue with delivery and the few they had went literally to the very first few in queue! Sex Pistols disappeared damn quick too.

Oh my lord, i will happily do a straight trade of the US pressing UK mix for the UK pressing US mix. I didn't know this was a thing! Glad I read about it now as opposed to later!
