My in-laws were supposed to be seeing Brian Wilson on 7th July at Cardiff Arena, but they were contacted the other day to say it’s now been moved to next year. Not saying that proves anything either way about the Manics, but I wouldn’t be surprised if these dates got moved as well tbh (and I’m not just saying that because it’d be better for me if they were postponed ).

Might be a travel issue for the artist. Green Day dates in the UK have been postponed but their US dates are going ahead.

Now 19th and 20th September. Which will probably make them TUVL tour dates.

I'm glad to hear that the concerts would go ahead in September, but also feeling quite mixed because I'm not sure if the border control restrictions in UK/Japan get eased by then, and I don't know if I can get the first jab in my town in Japan by September.

Right now, it costs me too much money and time to enter UK and re-enter Japan. Maybe I should give up this time and ask for a refund...

... only negative is I'll have to book a day or two off work for it.

Was looking forward to the gig for breaking my gig drought plus being away from the other dates it felt that it would be a little unique. Now that it is shortly after the Halifax show it doesn't quite feel as special.

I didn’t think they’d be going ahead in July somehow. Not gonna lie, I’m selfishly pleased, as we’ll be fully vaccinated by then so all being well should be able to go.

I've changed the hotel dates, my NHS worker sister has re-arranged her annual leave, and we're all set for two days in Cardiff. I am very much hoping that my hip will be OK for the drive to Cardiff and back, if not we'll have to train it. We're both fully vacced and ready to rock

Hotel cancelled, now deciding whether to cancel my ticket or not. Suspect I won't be able to make the Monday, but there's always the chance it'll be rescheduled to a more friendly date...

As it stands will not be able to attend this, so unless date changes again, will be selling tickets

As tentative as all plans are these days, we're supposed to be out of the country when these gigs are rescheduled to. Course it'll be no surprise if neither plan happens, plenty of time for waves and variants.

I've already had stuff that was scheduled after these gigs postponed. It's been good seeing a few more test events popping up but even now, and it feels bizarre saying it, I feel like by late September I'll still be more likely to be able to leave the country than stand in an indoors crowd of 5000.

Never expected the July dates to go ahead but we decided to book for Cardiff anyway just cos we like it. Conscious of Scotland bringing in their travel ban for Manchester, so we'll see if we can even make it to Cardiff for a pint by then.
