Postage expensive as usual, but at least they give options. For the love of God don't choose Evri. I spent part of this morning getting legal advice from Citizens advice about them

To be fair, Evri aren't too bad. I usually get a delivery from them once every couple of months or so, and never have any major trouble with them. Having to take the parcel to the correct address is a bit of a drag, but it's usually just to my home's number but on the next street over, so it's not the end of the world.

They could have stuck the single version on at least.

One can dream... but the timings if it does happen it'll be after the Suede co-headline tour.

I suspect the best we can hope for will be a few tracks on that tour and maybe a few more if there's a winter/autumn new album tour.

Which is significantly more than the KYE or GATS reissues got!

I don't see any Lifeblood gigs. The timing of this (i.e. in April when the album was originally released in November) means there's a 99% chance the new album is coming out in autumn or winter 2024. And then probably a winter UK tour and Europe in 2025.

I hope there is some interview or track by track or even a session on the new re-issue. It is a glorious but flawed period. Arguably my favourite era as a Manics' fan (LB, THB10, Maida Vale session, XFM track-by-track, Wire still drinking on tour, the white, the leather, Sean's glorious hair, and then PPF tour after).

Hefty prices, wow! It's CD 3 that interests me the most for the demos and some live takes plus a Tony Visconti mix. Glad it's been announced and here in like 2 months, we've all waited a long time for this announcement Guess they're not putting on the laughable Empty Souls single version with the dying flowers line in there haha!

The likes of Resident Records refer to a limited retail colour for the vinyl of Transparent Red.

It's not clear if this is any different to the Red vinyl on the Official site, though the vinyl looks a bit of a darker red on the Official site

Maybe the Dying Flowers will be explained in the booklet? I'm happy there's a cleaning of the desks to this. Onwards etc. And the Inside No.9 imaginary episode of the band of friends falling out and murdering each other during signing the inserts hasn't happened.
Remember too, remove the sticky label from the packaging and place it in a blank space within the case! I've only started doing that since the GATS box.
Also happy Lifeblood has stopped being autocorrected into Lifeboat as that could have gone places. And now we wait.
Very unfortunate overseas prices are massive. I am working to try to change the government here. For all the good that'll do.

I wouldn't be surprised if the single version of Empty Souls is what makes it onto the re-release. The twin towers line was always a bit cringe so I wouldn't be surprised if they just excused it considering they already have a replacement for it. It would be on form for James considering what he did to the outro of Masses.

Yep, paid a quid or so extra for Royal Mail.

Visconti mixes, 1985 demo and about 7 other versions, sounds good to me.

Shame it wasn't expanded out to include stuff like God Save The Manics, but I'd imagine they're holding stuff like that back for a box set somewhere off in the not too distant future.

If Masses has been retrospectively brought into the KYE era (if anything it ties into TIMTTMY more in my opinion) then God Save the Manics and There by the Grace of God should have been thrown into this reissue.

Yea I mean God Save the Manics had to have been done around the same time as Lifeblood as they released in in April 2005 and were just 3 songs Firefight/Picturesque could have easily been on Lifeblood and Secret Society as a B Side or demo.

There by the Grace of God was more so to sell Forever Delayed plus Lifeblood was released 2 yrs later so you do have quite a gap.

I would have preferred the whole Maida Vale gig on there but Lifeblood was not so great live hence only the 1 tour and 5/6 songs played from it.
