Aside from us lot here, I don't know anyone else who seems to realise or care that they have a new album soon, so I would suggest that any hype is very much restricted to the big fans who actively keep up to date with Manics news.

I even know some fans who occasionally express surprise that they're still together or touring!

I was so accustomed to the excellent People Ruin Paintings being as great as the Manics could get
But the intro to Brushstrokes Of Reunion is just... That's Truth beauty distilled and refined but given a stronger pulse. Ok. Four songs and I don't think they're just releasing the best songs from it. I really think it's that packed.
I know individual tracks chart lower on the charts when album released. Welcome to the future!
But do you think we'll get six singles? RiF has the record for single releases. Will CT_ have the high ground?

Just got an email from HMV about my preorder:

We’ve just been advised by the manufacturers that the release date for the above item has changed to 31/03/2025 and your order will therefore be processed and dispatched nearer to this date.

Is it end of March now? Or is this a HMV issue?

So far I've only got the 14th February email. If I get emailed later today it's gone to March I'll be back.
That's unfortunate email to get.

Hopefully HMV are wrong. I've seen a number of instances of HMV's website putting placeholder dates like 31st December for new items that don't have a confirmed release date.

Maybe HMV don’t appreciate being made to look absolute tits and have put a long lead time on it, making it easier to bring down rather than put up by a week at a time

That said, my HMV email, received at 10 am today, says 14th February

Is it only me that’s not very impressed by the songs released so far?
I liked D&F first, but after like 8-10 listens it fell flat. The two other songs have no real strengths. Down the very bottom of the bands work.
It’s like they’ve given up or just can’t find that soul, urgency/magic or killer melodies/hooks any more.
So I hoooooooope the album is packed with great album tracks and that Brushstrokes of Reunion is really good.
