People Ruin Paintings made it to the b list on Radio2. Nothing about the new single however. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/art...music-playlist
EDIT: Page 98 and still no sign of it.

Hear, hear. Better to be a miserable whiney bastard that cares than a shitty casual who only loves the hits or the sort of fan that thinks the sun shines out of their collective arses. We just want them to be the best band possible.

I am absolutely certain that I'd like BoR a whole lot more if the riff in the chorus hasn't been made to sound like the This Morning ad break tune. Am hoping that the demo version suits my ears better.

Why would you expect me, or anyone, to respect you? You clearly don't like modern manics, so it's just weird that you're sticking around to moan about them. Cut the cord.

Anyway, I’m really loving all 4 songs so far after being a bit disappointed with decline and fall at first. I’m surprised by how much I keep going back to hiding in plain sight too. One of Nicky’s best vocal performances. I really like what I can make out of Dear Stephen as well from the YouTube videos. The album is shaping up nicely (imo)

Fuck me. That's hilarious! Everyone that knows me (and I've been on this forum since the start) knows that I prefer latter day Manics to the earlier stuff. I like RIF and TUVL than anything pre-TIMT so that's completely ruined your argument. Distant Colours is literally my second favourite Manics song. I might have controversial opinions but at least I'm honest and consistent with them.

Really enjoyed the xfm interview. Moyles is an arse but he doesn’t really know them and asked quite obvious but good day-to-day Manics questions.

I’d be more worried about this new album if there wasn’t any discussion. Criticism is better than apathy!
