Hi Rob, my mate was an area manager for o2 so we used to go to a lot of o2 arena gigs,
met the band, said I had only recently just got into them and always liked wierd way out lyrics since a kid
especially some of the beatles stuff, they asked what was their stand out lyrics and I think I seriously misquoted them,
think someone said something in Welsh and laughed then they wrote that down.

None of these signatures look real to me, you’d expect one of the three to be in sync with how they usually are

If I didn’t see it done with my own eyes I wouldn’t believe it

I finally got what Nicky was referring to at the Millennium Gig just before Stay Beautiful he was talking about not paying Richie any royalties from Renault for using the song etc

So Fcuk Renault & the Fcukin French car companies

I was at the gig but the DVD is edited but not the radio broadcast.

So far as I know, none of them speak Welsh, or if they do it's a recent thing.

I've no idea what the context of this is, or who actually said it. It was in my Facebook memories from 12 years ago.

"3 hour long Sean Moore trumpet solo with Nicky beat boxing and James doing a merry ole jig dressed as a pirate and adding little "Yarr's" in whenever possible."

I would pay good money to see this.

I really, REALLY want that Manics O2 38-song show from 2011 on vinyl!

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/manic...-63d11223.html

I've heard most of the tracks, and it already sounds bloody brilliant - a well masted vinyl set would be fab!

Yes!

Bloody hard work collecting the tracks individually and trying to put them together in setlist order. Still five or six songs from the gig that haven’t seen the light of day.

Just release it in full please.

I don't care what format it's in as long as it gets released. Digital download, vinyl, cd whatever. Such a shame they didn't film it. Cameras would've made them more nervous apparently .....

Somehow it's almost the tenth anniversary of the O2 gig. If it's going to get a full release surely that'll be when.

Ten years!

I would happily pay £30 for a nice CD booklet thing or £15 for the download.

Or both as I usually do

It’s been a steady fall from grace down the festival bills over the last two decades since Reading 2001 but I wonder if being made to support the Stereophonics is absolute rock bottom for the band that likes to say yes?

Trouble with these festival posters is they don't accurately tell you which specific date they appear on.
I'm reading it as the first night has Stereophonics headlining and the Manics headlining the following day.
Imagine paying for a one day ticket, the camping, the bullshit etc. Just to find you picked the day the Manics weren't playing!
Oh you'd just see a cyclone of destruction as I made it to the box office demanding a refund.

Hindsight Says: Festival staff are just normal people trying to make a living. Please respect them.

It definitely looks like it's split over three days, with the Stereophonics headlining the first night and the Manics on before them to me. Which, agreed, is pretty grim.
