Judge Y'rself was the new track on Lipstick traces. A big deal was made of it at the time…they were bound to play it

perhaps not that bound...considering the history of the song it's possible they felt a little bit "funny" about doing it. i always saw it as they put that out for the benefit of the fans, and would have accepted it if they said "we're not doing it live"

It was a lipstick traces festival tour though, I think it was pretty inevitable...if they had felt that funny about it I don't think they'd have released it.

I would agree.. the song was 8 or 9 years old? If it was upsetting for them they weren't going to sit there and go *oh but we must release it.. the fans.* It would've stayed private

I remember them saying before they played it. It was awesome!

If they play THB in full, they will piss off a LOT of people - for various reasons...

It would be a little short-sighted to play it at a place it's really hard to buy tickets for....I'd hope if they did they would at least play a couple of dates nearby.

Quite agree. I mean, how many general Glasto goers would really want to hear it in full? I doubt it would get a great response.

It's totally against their general attitudes to gigs and festivals too.

Yes and I think we've all learned by now that one should never trust Nicky Wire - from his Springsteen-esque sets to playing "curios" - It's all a lie

It would be a shame to play it largely to an audience that wouldn't appreciate it, at the same time would that mean less pressure for them to play it?

^ I guess, but I don't know it's much pressure to play it...I mean they haven't done it in the last 20 years.

I've been following this band and going to see them live since the 1990's and in my opinion this is not going to happen for many of the reasons mentioned above. If, and it's a massive if, they did do a Holy Bible gig they absolutely would not waste it on a largely ignorant crowd of students who think it's "cool" to say you've been to Glastonbury.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love them to do a THB gig / tour and I'd be first in line for tickets but it's not going to be happening at Glastonbury when they're promoting a new album. And, bar the odd fan treat (Pennyroyal Tea, It's So Easy etc), their festival performances are always greatest hits sets.
